HEALTH INSURANCE REBATES

Winterfell Acres CSA members may be able to receive a rebate from their health insurance provider for joining the farm. Providers offering rebates include GHC, Physicians Plus, and Unity and can range from $100 to $300. Dean also offers a limited cash back program.

Partner Shares Program

Partner Shares Program makes joining a CSA farm more affordable. While CSA makes farming a viable way to make a living as a farmer, sometimes that cost in a single payment in the Spring is too much. Partner Shares provides financial assistance to limited-income households for purchasing a CSA vegetable share by allowing Winterfell Acres to offer CSA shares for 1/2 price (up to $300) to those with limited incomes. You can even pay your balance with monthly checks or use your Quest card, SNAP or food stamp benefits.

Applications for discounted shares are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting in mid-January. For more information and application information see FairShare CSA Coalition's website.
